Pediatric Instruction

Less then 3 years

• Clear liquids (4 ounces of fluid) or breast feed up to 4 hours prior to time of surgery.
• May have milk or formula up to 6 hours prior to time of surgery.
• No solids after midnight.

Greater than 3 years

• May have clear liquids up to 4 hours prior to time of surgery (as listed above).
• No solids or milk products after midnight.
